Co-Founders & Innovators
David H. Scriven
CEO
Mr. Scriven holds an M.S. in Mining Engineering (Engineer of Mines) from the Colorado School of Mines, earned in 1970. He is a designated Qualified Person (QP), authorized to conduct technical evaluations of mineral properties under National Instrument 43-101 standards.
With over 50 years of international experience, Mr. Scriven has worked extensively in project management, mining and geotechnical engineering, economic feasibility studies, and design and construction oversight.
He has advised financial institutions on the technical and financial aspects of mineral and energy development and has served as an Engineering Supervisor, responsible for mine design and cost estimation for large coal mining operations.
In addition, Mr. Scriven has managed reclamation projects for coal, uranium, and metal mines throughout the Rocky Mountain region of the United States, serving in roles including Project Manager, Geotechnical Engineer, and Construction Manager.
Michael D. Andrews
COO
Mr. Andrews founded his strategic planning firm after spending 12 years with Sears Corporation in Chicago. He has worked with a wide variety of companies and organizations, building an active network of professionals throughout North America.
He served as Director of the Small Business Development Center at Itasca Economic Development Corporation in Grand Rapids, Minnesota, where he personally consulted with over 1,000 local entrepreneurs and businesses.
Mr. Andrews also served as CEO of the Minnesota Discovery Center, a 660-acre nonprofit museum complex showcasing the rich mining history of Minnesota’s Iron Range.
He has worked extensively with both startup and large-scale iron mining operations in northern Minnesota.
